Change Password
If you ever change the password for your Upstairs account, you will need to re-authenticate in Homey for all connected Smart Stairs devices. Otherwise, Homey will no longer be able to control the stairs.
- Open the Homey Mobile App or Homey Web App.
- Navigate to Devices and select one of your Upstairs Smart Stairs devices.
- Open the device settings:
- Mobile App: Tap the ⚙️ gear icon → Repair
- Web App: Click the ⚙️ gear icon and select Repair
- Sign in with your Upstairs account credentials. Your email address will be prefilled.
- The device will automatically reconnect after a successful login.
- Repeat this process for every staircase connected to Homey, since each is a separate device.
