Change Password

If you ever change the password for your Upstairs account, you will need to re-authenticate in Homey for all connected Smart Stairs devices. Otherwise, Homey will no longer be able to control the stairs.

  1. Open the Homey Mobile App or Homey Web App.
  2. Navigate to Devices and select one of your Upstairs Smart Stairs devices.
  3. Open the device settings:
    • Mobile App: Tap the ⚙️ gear icon → Repair
    • Web App: Click the ⚙️ gear icon and select Repair
  4. Sign in with your Upstairs account credentials. Your email address will be prefilled.
  5. The device will automatically reconnect after a successful login.
  6. Repeat this process for every staircase connected to Homey, since each is a separate device.
